ONE-HIT WONDER WEDNESDAYS: Truth Hurts "Addictive"
Truth Hurts seemed to be on the right path when her single “Addictive” came and ruled the summer of 2002.
The song was produced by DJ Quik, featured a guest verse from Rakim, and was released on Dr. Dre’s Aftermath Entertainment label.
Then her debut album, Truthfully Speaking, dropped to little fanfare. She was also sued over an uncleared sample in “Addictive.” After one more album, produced by Raphael Saadiq, Truth Hurts was largely gone from the public eye.
But when it’s all said and done, “Addictive” still bangs.
